Wander Concept Art

So what the hell is this?

This is concept art for a game I've been working on called Wander. This is the scene and landscape I will use for the testing/development of the game, to make sure everything works. Don't worry the final landscape will be MUCH larger and more detailed.

I guess I haven't really talked about Wander, so allow me to fill you in. The game will essentially be an interactive chatroom. There will be no quests (not initially), no weapons, and no achievements. Its kind of a multiplayer choose-your-own-adventure game. You will be a square hanging out with some other squares, potentially across the world. Thats it. You can traverse the open world, walking along fields, and exploring caves. You will also be able to climb mountains, but only if you work together. See, your character square can only jump so high. However, squares can stand on top of each other, so it is possible to reach great heights through teamwork. After one square reaches the top of a cliff, it can throw a rope down to the others.

That's kind of what I want Wander to be all about: teamwork. Its not about shooting each other, killing dragons (maybe in the future), or following the rules in general. You create your own adventure. Again, the game is open world, so you can go wherever you want.

Wander is scheduled for release in late December/early January.
